Fire Station Field Trip

Last week Annaliese's preschool class took a walk to the local fire station. I got to go as a volunteer mom. Very fun to see these little ones light up when we arrived. The firefighters really liked them too I think.
This trip was especially good for Annaliese because lately she's been afraid of fires at night before she goes to sleep (nightmares I think). She had some anxiety at school when they had a fire drill so we've been talking to her regularly to help her understand that there is no fire and she needn't worry. The firefighters are there to help keep us safe.
She loved climbing up in the cab of the fire engine. She loved holding her teachers hand who had dressed up in the fire gear. She had a great time and I think she is over her fear of fire drills for now anyway.

I love it. Romney works at sation 2! How perfect is that? Annaliese looks darling in her fire hat. So cute. I cannot believe how long Avries hair is. Did the twins like their hats too? So so so cute. A house full of firebabes.

I can't belive how big your girls are getting. They are all so cute. What a fun little field trip, and sounds like it was good timing for Annaliese.

We ended up with the Sit'n'stand LX or something like that. It is a double stroller that converts to a sit'n'stand. So far so good. I still need a double jogger though. Any thoughts?

How precious are they??? FIRE GIRLS to the rescue! I love the firehats... they are darling. What a great way to help Annaliese overcome her fear of fire. It is funny where kids come up with their fears. When Shailey was 3 years old, she was afraid of trains in the sky... funny.
